How to read a Micropipette

Micropipettes feature a 4-digit digital display. Please refer to the image to read a micropipette. When rotating the volume adjustment knob, the appearance of 4 digits on the display depends upon the volume range of the Micropipette.

For instance, the display will have 4 digits, if the volume range of the micropipette is 100-1000 µl. However, for higher volumes (5 and 10 mL) and lower volumes (>1000 µL), a digit may not appear on the 100th or 1000th place.

For higher volumes (5 and 10 mL) and lower volumes (>1000 µL), Microlit’s RBO Micropipettes are equipped with a sub-increment pointer that helps to determine the sub-volumes, after the decimal (please refer to red squared area in the above image to read a pipette).
